Rubber Extraction Process
Rubber is extracted from trees through a process called tapping, where skilled workers make shallow, spiral cuts on the bark usually early in the morning to maximize latex yield. The milky latex flows from the cut and is collected in cups attached to the tree
After collection, ammonia may be added to prevent solidification, and acid is used later for coagulation to obtain solid rubber[5][4]. The extracted rubber is then washed, rolled, and dried, followed by vulcanization to enhance elasticity and strength before final use
This sustainable technique allows the tree to continue growing and producing latex for years, supporting rubber industries and local livelihoods
