🌏 What If the Himalayas Didn’t Exist?
Imagine India without the Himalayas.
There would be no towering mountain wall to block the cold winds from Central Asia, making much of northern India far colder and drier. The monsoon would be much weaker, reducing rainfall across large parts of the subcontinent.
Major rivers like the Ganga, Yamuna, and Brahmaputra would either not exist in their present form or carry far less water. The fertile Indo Gangetic Plain that supports millions of people might never have developed.
The Himalayas are not just mountains. They shape our climate, feed our rivers, support biodiversity, and influence the lives of nearly every Indian.
🏔️ Without the Himalayas, India would be a very different country.
🌍 Sometimes, the most important things are the ones we take for granted.
